Services

I believe that your child has inherent strength and resilience in them. My approach is to cultivate and harness this resilience, while optimizing their physical health, to enable them to navigate the complexities and challenges of life and find their unique path to mental well-being. To help your family, I utilize a mix of therapy modalities, neuroscience-based plasticity techniques, and medications.

  • Consultation and Partnership

Choose between an 80-minute medication-focused or 110-minute comprehensive intake. In our initial meeting, I'll hear your family's challenges and clarify your concerns. Together, we will design a treatment plan that balances your family’s values and needs.

  • Therapy

I offer a fusion of therapy techniques and create action plans rooted in neuroplasticity research to best help your loved one succeed. I offer long and short sessions, depending on what is best for your family.

  • Medication Management

Whether you are seeking a second opinion, aiming to maintain a longstanding medication regimen, or exploring a new therapeutic direction, I provide knowledgeable guidance tailored to your child's individual needs. With a specialization in a range of medications, including stimulants, my commitment is to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes for your child.

  • Much More

As an integrative psychiatry practice, I offer genetic and microbiome testing, other functional medicine labs, and herbal and nutritional supplements/optimization. I refer to psychedelic or ketamine clinics (>18 yo only). I also refer to partial hospitalization or inpatient programs, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or ElectroConvulsive Therapy (ECT) providers.

Comprehensive Care

  • I specialize in treating children and adolescents between the ages of 8-28.

*Long-term clients do not age-out of care.

  • I treat almost all psychiatric conditions, however I specialize in the following:

ADHD: Addressing the challenges faced both academically, socially, and at home.

Anxiety: Understanding the root of anxiety, how and why it holds your child or teenager back from personal growth and fulfillment. Especially when it plays a role in substance use.

Depression: Helping to lift the fog of hopelessness, and restoring a sense of self-worth to patients of all ages.

Screen Addiction: I help families and children struggling with screen addiction and other forms of escapism.

*Note: This is a general list. If you are seeking support for a condition not listed above, please contact me to discuss.

  • Children and teenagers today are navigating a world that is incredibly dynamic and often overwhelming. Many feel misunderstood, judged, and isolated. Their frustrations manifest in various ways – academic challenges, disputes at home, deteriorating self-esteem, and sometimes, unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Families, in turn, often feel powerless. They sense their child's distress but struggle to bridge the growing emotional gap.

This is where my practice can help.

By partnering with understanding families willing to invest time and effort, together we craft actionable plans. This approach not only targets symptomatic relief but also fosters an environment of validation and trust.

  • My concerted effort and expertise to improve your child or teenager's disposition and help them become the best version of themselves.

Fast response to communication – usually the same day, and at most within 24 hours (if I am out of the office, you will get an auto-response immediately).

I understand that medicine is an ever-evolving field and I continue to work hard every day to grow my own knowledge so that I can offer your family mental health care that exceeds the gold standard.

Therapy Modalities

  • Tailored therapy that prioritizes understanding and validating the unique experiences and feelings of each child.

  • Gold standard in treating many psychiatric conditions. CBT Helps children and teenagers understand and challenge negative thoughts and behaviors that may have developed unintentionally.

  • A cognitive-behavioral approach that emphasizes accepting your behaviors and caring for yourself, and at the same time learning to shape your emotional response in a way that benefits you and your interpersonal interactions.

  • Strengthening family bonds by facilitating effective communication, understanding, and mutual support.

  • Explores past experiences and emotional patterns to gain insight into current behavioral patterns.

  • Combines traditional cognitive behavioral approaches with mindfulness strategies to prevent relapse in depression.

Other Treatment Techniques

  • These sessions focus on different modalities tailored towards your child/adolescent's needs.

  • Equipping children with tools to manage their anxiety and stress effectively.

  • Evaluating and recommending medications when necessary, always combined with an emphasis on integrative psychiatric principles. Or continuing long-standing medications.

  • A full body medical evaluation, physical exam, ruling out medical conditions that may be affecting your child’s mental health. (Similar to a normal visit to the Pediatrician with a focus on mental health).

  • The following are treatments that will be offered in the near future:

    Tapping

    EMDR Therapy

    Ketamine Treatment
