About Me
Hello, I’m Dr. Levy.
I enjoy comedy shows, walking my wonderfully talented dog, playing soccer or racket sports, practicing the piano, and playing chess.
I have structured my practice to merge medical expertise with therapeutic support, ensuring a well-rounded approach for children and adolescents. My aim is to offer comprehensive care, tailored to each individual’s needs. Through this integrated method, I guide your children and teenagers through their challenges, utilizing a blend of therapy modalities, cutting-edge neuroscience techniques, and medications when appropriate.
I completed medical school at UC Irvine School of Medicine and my residency in a UC Davis and rural health combined program. My Child Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) fellowship was part of a UC Davis and UC Irvine combined effort to teach the best psychiatric practices of both universities. Since then, I have continued my education, always adding new and evidence-based resources for my patients.

Being both a board-certified family medicine physician and having a fellowship in psychiatry, I bring a rarely found blend of medical acumen and therapeutic insight to the table. Moreover, I understand the nuances of growing up with ADHD and depression and the challenges they present. I was able to overcome these obstacles and grow from them, and from this experience, I can uniquely empathize and create strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.
Drawing from my personal journey and extensive academic background, I foster an environment where young individuals are truly heard, acknowledged, and empowered. I believe in building strong foundations for mental wellness from a young age, ensuring that my patient’s not only excel academically, but in all spheres of life.
Navigating mental health challenges can be a daunting journey, but with the right guidance and expertise, it becomes a transformative experience. Let us pave the way for a brighter, balanced, and more fulfilling future for your children and teenagers.
My Values and Approach to Treatment
Journey's Beginning: We start with a comprehensive intake appointment to understand the challenges your child or teenager faces and how best to assist. This includes a medical intake.
Tailored Care: Using the various techniques highlighted on the services page, we'll craft a plan that might involve both medication and therapy, taking into account your preferences, your child's comfort, and their unique situation.
Ongoing Support: Regular follow-ups will gauge progress, continuing until we see marked improvement in your child's well-being. Our ultimate goal? To guide them to achieving their own definition of success.
I’m passionate about assisting children and young adults in navigating today's unique challenges, such as screen-addiction, anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Recognizing that traditional methods can sometimes fall short, I integrate therapeutic strategies with modern neuroscience techniques. My approach centers on the inherent resilience in every young individual. Alongside their families, my mission goes beyond standard treatments – I aim to empower them with psychotherapeutic tools and medications to excel in life.
For families facing financial constraints, I maintain a limited number of pro-bono slots. If you need this support, please detail your situation via my contact form on the home page. I'll connect when a complimentary slot opens.
